Social media, the sharing economy, and online commerce have all fundamentally changed how value is communicated, perceived and transacted. People have become more digitally connected, and in this new age of social media, individuals are able to participate in far-reaching conversations instantly and simply. Now as people discover annoying experiences they are able to share their frustrations. If innovation evolves where a gap is identified, then for the more entrepreneurial, listening to poor user experiences can help create opportunities that can be used to drive innovation.
